Humberto Flores Nuño was born in Ocotlán, Jalisco, in the fourteenth of January, 1968, but he lives in Mexico City since he was three. He began his taurine life when he was nine, and he made his debut like a becerrista at El Cortijo "Luis Solano". He fought 45 festivals, and then, he made his debut like a novillero in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, in August 9, 1982.
He fought at Plaza Mexico for the first time in July 29, 1984. He fought two times in that season. He returned to Plaza Mexico in July 4, 1993. He looked like tho most mature novillero in that season. In that ocation, he fought six times. Like a novillero, he fought 12 times at Plaza Mexico, and 63 times in other plazas like Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana, Querétaro, Zacatecas, Acapulco, etc.
After a bullfighting season full of triumphs (1993), he received the alternativa, at Plaza de toros Alejandra, Durango, in November 14. The godfather was Jorge Gutiérrez and Eulalio Lopez "El Zotoluco" was the witness.
He confirmed the alternativa at Plaza Mexico in January 30, 1994. The godfather was Guillermo Capetillo, and the Spaniard bullfighter, "Jesulín de Ubrique", was the witness. Bulls were from Carranco.
He's been gored 7 times. The worst one broke his safena vein. He has fought seven times at Plaza Mexico.
Some of the trophies that he has been awarded at Plaza Mexico are: The best estocada (94/95), Pluma de Oro, Crónica de Oro, and the most promising bullfighter (93/94). He has invented a lot of quites like "El Jazmín", "El Capullo", "El Zarape" and others.
